The garden stands on the eastern side of the Church of the Madonna del Popolo, in an intimate space, surrounded by walls, where the theme of the hortus conclusus has been proposed again, to evoke the ancient garden used by the Somaschi Fathers, who lived in the adjacent convent. The project recovers a green area in city historical centre along the walk thruogh the old town. The project was supported by the botanical consultancy of the University of Turin, which oriented the selection of botanical species towards edible flowers with the aim of spreading knowledge, properties and use. The garden is an example of edible landscaping with the aim to combine in the same context ornamental and edibles plants, a garden to devolepe both the aesthetic and the nutritional value of the plants.
