Casa parco is a little building in a housing estate situated in a hillside area in Castiglione Torinese, a town near Turin which is part of Turin Metropolitan Area.
The building is part of a small subdivision with two-story residential buildings above ground.
Casa Parco is located at the limit of a natural difference in height that has been exploited to obtain the garage and the technical spaces.
The ground floor is characterized by large glass surfaces towards the pool; the protruding wooden part is an obscuring element in the summer months
The building develops on two floors.
A floor is partly a basement which is along the two northern sides taking advantages from the sloping area and the morphology of the ground.
On the ground floor there is a living place, an area for the kitchen and service rooms.
On the first floor, three bedrooms and the bathrooms are linked by a corridor with walk-in closets.
The two levels are connected by a rectilinear staircase. The outside of the house is with a swimming pool and it is completely paved with composite wooden planks.
This is the same material used for the ventilated covering of the façade. The remaining green part of the land follows a soft and a naturalistic design.
the south façade is characterized by a cantilevered terrace/loggia overlooking the hilly landscape.
The structure was made of iron and covered with composite wood slats; the rest of the envelope was covered with a light-colored thermal coat except for the base where dark colors were used, combined with the large openings of the living space.
