An abandoned shed for agricultural vehicles transformed into a single-family residence

Refurbishment of a rural building located in the municipality of Rivoli. Originally used as a shed for agricultural vehicles, it has been completely redesigned creating harmony between exteriors and interiors. The house was equipped with large windows that have an externally shielding system in Corten-type metal panels, designed to ensure indoor climate comfort during hot periods. The internal height was exploited by dividing the town into two floors. The interior spaces have been designed to give airiness to the environment, creating a large open space in the ground floor area that includes the kitchen and living area. Many furnishing elements have been designed by our studio, such as the kitchen, the wardrobes, and a small study area located on the mezzanine. The upper floor is accessed via a staircase designed to take advantage of the unused space, consisting of a metal parapet, which leads to the upper bedroom, which like the one below offers a panoramic view thanks to the large windows. All the materials, internal and external, have been chosen to retrace the chromaticity and appearance of the old building.
